Powerful drive for off-road pros

A MAN truck is just as reliable on forest tracks and gravel roads as it is on the road – the driveline provides all necessary prerequisites.

Thanks to fuel-saving and low-emission engine technology, MAN trucks ensure ecologically sustainable use in agriculture and forestry. MAN trucks also score points in terms of efficiency and performance in combined use between fields and roads when transporting harvested crops and timber: MAN trucks feature high traction in off-road terrain and save fuel on the road.

The powerful engines are connected to a transfer case, allowing for clutch-independent PTOs with a torque of up to 8,000 Nm to be engaged.

A permanent or switchable all-wheel drive is important when travelling frequently on unsurfaced forest and field tracks. The switchable MAN HydroDrive¹⁾. hydrostatic front-axle drive is suitable for temporarily increased traction requirements. This results in a payload advantage of 400 to 750 kg compared to mechanical all-wheel drives.

Moreover, various functions of the MAN TipMatic automated gearbox optimise off-road suitability. The MAN TipMatic OFFROAD ¹⁾ gearshift program ensures higher gearshift speeds and minimal traction interruptions on inclines and uneven terrain. The rocking-free mode makes it easier to move off if the truck does get stuck in the mud.

Soil-conserving vehicle components

In chassis, engines and drivelines, a weight-reduced design is consistently implemented. Moreover, suspension and axles ensure a high ground clearance. The wide tyres of MAN agricultural and forestry vehicles offer more contact surface and ensure even distribution of axle and wheel loads. The lower soil pressure protects fields and forest soils.

Simply operate the infotainment system for navigation and communication in your MAN via the MAN SmartSelect control system: The rotary pushbutton control with touchpad and thumb-ball support ensures error-free operation – even with bumpy off-road rides.

MAN EasyControl panel

Even after getting off the vehicle, important vehicle functions such as switching on and off spotlights or switching on and off PTOs can be conveniently controlled via the MAN EasyControl panel on the inside of the driver’s door. The keys can be pre-configured ex works or assigned individually and are protected against splashing water and dirt in all weather conditions.

Individually adjustable steering wheel

The multifunction steering wheel can be positioned individually to fit to the driver’s physique, thus ensuring a comfortable workplace even in case of alternating drivers. In parking position, the steering wheel can be pushed forward to create more space when getting on and off the vehicle.

Comfortable entry

The stair-like step unit with non-slip steps provides more safety when getting on and off the vehicle – even in poor weather conditions. Thanks to the grated steps and a strip edge, dirt and moisture cannot get into the cab.
